India retaliates, 7 Pak soldiers killed

India on Monday avenged the mutilation of the bodies of two Indian soldiers by the commandos of Pakistan Army’s Border Action Team (BAT).

According to reports, Indian Army retaliated by destroying two Pakistani posts and killing around seven of their soldiers.

These two posts, Kirpan and Pimple, were used by the BAT to cross over to India at LoC and commit the heinous crime of mutilating the bodies of Indian soldiers.

According to sources, the bodies of Indian soldiers were mutilated by the commandos of  ‘647 Mujahid Battalion’ of Pak Army who had sneaked into India under the cover of heavy shelling  by Pakistani forces.

Indian Army retaliated after the government reportedly gave it a free hand to avenge the killing of its soldiers and mutilation of their bodies.

On Monday, Pakistan Army’s BAT sneaked into India,  killed Naib Subedar Paramjit Singh of 22 Sikh Regiment and head constable Prem Sagar of 200 BSF Battalion and mutilated their bodies.

According to a senior Indian Army officer, the attack was a pre-planned operation of Pak Army.

"It was a pre-planed operation by Pakistan army. They had pushed in the Border Action Team over 250 metres deep inside Indian territory and set up the ambush for a long period to carry out the attack," the  officer said.

"Their target was a patrol party of 7-8 members, which had come out of a post," he added.

The officer further said that as the posts were engaged, the patrol team members ran for cover. In the process, two members were left behind and targeted by the BAT.

The BAT commandos killed the two Indian soldiers and mutilated their bodies.
