Underlining the possible impact of the conflict on their future as well as that of many in their generation, a tale of two friends on opposite sides of the Indo-Pak border is now going viral.
A photograph of two such broods put up in a Facebook post from Pakistan talks about the healthy friendship between the two who meet each other every day standing on two sides of a river that divides the two nations. Ironically, they don’t even know each other’s names.
These innocent children, unaware of the hostility the leaders of both nations share, share a good time skipping stones into the river from opposite ends.
The tensions between both nations are not only growing across the border but are reflecting upon art and cinema as well. Pakistan has banned screening of all Indian films and airing of all television channels from across the border. India has also banned Pakistani artists in India.
Indo-Pak relations "remain tense" after the Pathankot terror attack and India's engagement with Pakistan this year may depend on Islamabad's willingness to act against those who indulge in terrorism from its soil.
