Boston blasts: Story of bravery as man, who lost son in Iraq war, helped victims seconds after terror attack

The 52-year-old man lost his eldest son Lance Corporal Alexander Arredondo wh0 died in action in Iraq nine years ago at the age of 20. His second son Brian, 24, committed suicide just before Christmas in 2011 after battling drug addiction following his brother's death.



The day he learned his elder son had been killed, which also happened to be his 44th birthday,  Arredondo locked himself in a van with five gallons of gasoline and a propane torch and set the van on fire. It was this man who acted as a saviour of lives at the Boston Marathon on Monday.
