How to order ISKCON's ‘Maha Prasad’ online via govt’s ONDC network? Guide

The announcement on the collaboration of ISKON and ONDC, claims to ensure a reliable and seamless delivery experience to the devotees to receive Maha Prasad via Shiprocket.

As everything goes online, so are the temples and their operations. In the recent development, it was stated that the 'Maha Prasad' from the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) is now available for ordering online at the government’s official Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC). The announcement was made on May 20, and the Hare Krishna movement has partnered with the homegrown logistics platform Shiprocket to deliver the Prasad to devotees across the nation.

T. Koshy, MD and CEO, of ONDC, an initiative of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) said, “ISKCON’s ‘Maha Prasad’ on the ONDC network is a testament to the evolving landscape of digital commerce where sacred traditions merge with modern convenience,” 

Shiprocket as delivery partner for ISKON Prasad 

On the announcement of the new service in collaboration with ISKON and ONDC, Shiprocket said that it will ensure a reliable and seamless delivery experience, enabling the devotees to receive Maha Prasad with the same reverence and sanctity as offered at ISKCON temples across the world.

Gauranga Das from ISKCON said, “In the realm of material perception, 'Prasadam' acts as both diet and medicine, silently guiding us towards inner peace and contentment.”

"To place an order for Maha Prasad, visit the Paytm and Mystore buyer apps on ONDC,” said the network.

  2. Pick a buyer app from the list which is provided on the platform. 
  3. Pick a buyer app from the list.
  4. Browse and place your order. 
  5. Get order confirmation. 

ONDC: History and Inception

Incorporated on December 31, 2021, ONDC has created a facilitative model to revolutionise digital commerce, giving greater thrust to the penetration of retail e-commerce in India.

In April, ONDC facilitated 7.22 million transactions and onboarded over 5 lakh sellers.
