Zelenskyy said in a video message Sunday that the Russian invasion of Ukraine amounts to an act of genocide, saying that “Russia has taken the path of evil and the world should come to depriving it of its U.N. Security Council seat.”
As dawn broke in Kyiv, it was not immediately clear how far the soldiers had advanced. Skirmishes reported on the edge of the city suggested that small Russian units were probing Ukrainian defenses to clear a path for the main forces.
"The UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine is scheduled today for 21:30 New York time and will be held in the format of an open briefing," the mission said.

The Indian Counsellor made these remarks after a Pakistani diplomat misused the platform provided by the UN to "propagate false and malicious propaganda" against India.
"This is the country that has been globally recognised as one openly supporting, training, financing and arming terrorists as a matter of state policy," India said, referring to Pakistan.
