MG Motor India plans to increase production of its SUV Hector by around 30 per cent after BS-VI emission norms come into effect from April 1, according to a senior company official.
"Over the past few months, we have worked towards creating the right ecosystem for our customers ahead of the launch of the ZS EV, including charging infrastructure and busting common myths around EVs," MG Motor India President and MD Rajeev Chaba said in a statement.
Passenger vehicle sales, which were in the doldrums since late last year, have shown positive sales trajectory this year in comparison to the off-take witnessed during Dhanteras 2018.
The company said it delivered around 200 cars from a single point in Delhi-NCR, marking one of the largest vehicle delivery events on Dhanteras.
"We remain strongly focused on fulfilling the 28,000 bookings, as part of our commitment to ensure customer satisfaction," MG Motor India Chief Commercial Officer Gaurav Gupta said in a statement.
Morris Garages has unveiled Hector, India’s first internet car with 19 exclusive features. The Hector will be the first car with a sophisticated 48-volt mild-hybrid architecture in its segment.
