At least 7 people were killed after in an incident of gas leak in Uttar Pradesh. The incident occurred in Sitapur in the state, where locals reported of toxic gas leak at a factory.
The affected people were taken to the Khantapada primary health centre and 50 of them were later shifted to the district headquarters hospital, an officer said. Fire brigade personnel from Balasore reached the spot near the national highway.
According to a fire brigade spokesperson, the unknown odour was also reported from areas adjoining the Sanjay Gandhi National Park in northern suburb Borivli.
Forty-six people have been rushed to the hospital, including 15 in critical condition, following a suspected carbon monoxide leak at a hotel in Canada, local authorities said on Tuesday.
The incident took place in Bagdewa coal mines under Bankimongra police station limits in the evening, police said.

The cause of leak is not known as yet, according to a report in ANI.
