Several students at a private hostel in Greater Noida suffered food poisoning after having dinner prepared for those fasting during Mahashivratri. Later, the students complained of uneasiness, dizziness and vomiting.
Due to a shortage of beds, many of patients had to be treated outside the hospital with saline hung from ropes and hooked to trees.
At least 58 students fell ill on Republic after eating meal provided by the school in Madhya Pradesh's Rewa. The children were rushed to a local community health center.

Muzaffarpur food poisoning: The incident of food poisoning took place in Tehwara of Katra police station area. The deceased have been identified as 7-year-old Soni Kumari and 36-year-old Ramprasad Sahni.
According to the doctor, 5-6 children were serious and one of them was on the ventilator. No official statement yet comes from the management of Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education.
A health official said that the students were suffering from mild food poisoning and are all stable now. The cause of the food poisoning is still being investigated.
