Shaan's son Soham Mukherji is currently based in Los Angeles. He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Entertainment Law and Business. Soham left for his higher studies in the US in 2021.
Singer KK's birth anniversary on August 23rd was made special when his kid's daughter Taamara and son Nakul performed their first gig in the tribute concert. Singers Shaan, Benny Dayal, Papon and Dhwani were also there.

While in conversation with host Kapil Sharma, Shaan said, "I would like to narrate a story that also includes Archana Puran Singh ji. Because we're talking about shows that took place in Punjab, our show was in Ludhiana. There was tremendous fog due to which Archana ji didn't move from her green room. She did all announcements from there itself."
Kailash Kher informed the passing away of singer Shaan's mother Sonali Mukherjee on Thursday. Offering his condolences, he shared a tweet that read, "Shaan’s mother passed away. Prayers to the Almighty for the salvation of the departed soul. It is a prayer to Lord Shiva, the ruler of all the three worlds, that our brother Shaan’s family should get the strength to bear this sorrow. Eternal prayers."
Singer Shaan pens an emotional note as his elder son Sohum leaves for the US. He reminisces that his 21-year-old song Tanha Dil has come full circle. The song narrated the story of a young man leaving his home to start a new life while missing all the good time he spent with his friends.
