Senior advocate Harish Salve on Friday sought the Supreme Court's permission to withdraw as amicus curiae from the suo motu case to the distribution of essential supplies and services, including oxygen and drugs, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Senior advocate and former Solicitor General of India, Harish Salve has tied the knot with London-based Caroline Brossard. The two got married at a private church ceremony in London on Thursday.
Noted lawyer and former Solicitor General Harish Salve married Caroline Brossard, a London-based artiste, at a church wedding on Wednesday. Salve's wedding was a very small affair as only 15 are allowed to gather in London. The 65-year-old lawyer has begun his second innings after separation from his first wife Meenakshi this year.
Harish Salve will marry Caroline Brossard at a church wedding on October 28. Salve and Brossard first met at an art event a year ago.

"The Kashmir Constitution says Kashmir is an integral part of India, not just the Indian Constitution. Kashmir being an integral part of India has never been in doubt, except in certain Pakistani minds," Salve said.
Salve said the economic slowdown begun with the 2G case order when the apex court in one stroke cancelled 122 spectrum licences issued to telecom operators.
Around an hour before she was rushed to Delhi's AIIMS on Tuesday evening, BJP leader and former external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj telephoned Kulbhushan Jadhav's lawyer Harish Salve, who represented India at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), to visit her on Wednesday at 6 pm to collect his fee of Re 1.
Speaking to media in the Supreme Court, Harish Salve said: "Article 370 states the provisions under it will be introduced through Presidential order. Article 35A was inserted through the Presidential order in 1954. Today, the same order has been superseded."
"I am an incorrigible optimist and we will again move the world court if Pakistan fails to conduct a fair trial in Kulbhushan Jadhav's case," renowned lawyer Harish Salve, who represented India in the ICJ, said on Thursday.
Harish Salve, while addressing the media in London, said he had a degree of personal satisfaction now that Jadhav has been granted consular access by the court.
"India strongly objects to abusive language of Pakistan's counsel," Salve said as the International Court of Justice began the second round of public hearing in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case.
The four-day trial opened Monday at the ICJ headquarters in The Hague amidst heightened tensions between India and Pakistan following Pulwama terror attacks.
The chartered accountant-turned-lawyer, who charges anything between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 20 lakh for a court appearance, charged the government a token one rupee fee.
India, during the first day of the hearing, based its case on two broad issues -- breach of Vienna Convention on consular access and the process of resolution.
Harish Salve told SC that there was need for some guidelines to fasten accountability with those posting abusive content on social media.
