DA Hike: Karnataka government on Tuesday increased the dearness allowance of government employees and pensioners to 35 percent.
Himachal Day: CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Saturday announced a 3 percent hike in the dearness allowance of the state employees and pensioners. He also claimed to provide Rs 1,500 monthly allowance for women in Spiti.
The dearness allowance will be hiked by 4 per cent with effect from January 1.
Apart from the state employees, this benefit will also be payable to the work-charged, Panchayat Samiti and Zila Parishad employees.
Dearness Allowance Hike: BJP's Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday claimed that the difference in DA between employees of the Centre and the state government now stands at 36 per cent.
West Bengal government has raised dearness allowance for state employees and pensioners by 3%, as per the state budget for 2023-24.
The dearness allowance for employees and pensioners are worked out on the basis of the latest Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (CPI-IW) brought out by the Labour Bureau every month.
According to an official notice, the hike will be effective from July 1, 2022.
Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh government also raised the dearness allowance for its employees and pensioners.

Rajasthan govt DA allowance: The move by the Rajasthan government comes after Centre hikes DA on Wednesday.

Dearness Allowance (DA) of the Uttarakhand government employees has been increased to 31% with effect from July 1.
"We have decided to increase the DA of government employees to 31%, and payment for the same will start from the month of April", MP Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said.
Chief Minister Channi, during a press conference, had added that 444 crores will be spent on DA every month.
The VDA is revised on the basis of the average Consumer Price Index for industrial workers (CPI-IW), a price index compiled by the Labour Bureau (an attached office of the Ministry of Labour & Employment).
