INS Vikrant: With the construction of 'Vikrant', India has joined a select group of nations such as the US, the UK, Russia, China and France, having the niche capability to indigenously design and build an aircraft carrier.
INAS 314 is a frontline Naval Air Squadron based at Porbandar in Gujarat and operates the state-of-the-art Dornier 228 maritime reconnaissance aircraft.
Naval fake recruitment: The mastermind of the racket self-styled "Captain" Sameer Singh, who used a fake letter from the Ministry of Defence, indicating that INS Kunjali in Colaba was the recruitment and workplace.
'INS Vikrant' is set to operate MiG-29K fighter jets, Kamov-31 helicopters and MH-60R multi-role helicopters. It has over 2,300 compartments, designed for a crew of around 1700 people, including specialised cabins to accommodate women officers.
INS Vikramaditya Fire: During a planned sortie for conducting trials, an incident of fire was reported onboard INS Vikramaditya on Wednesday. The ship was operating off the Karwar coast. No casualties have been reported.

The test was carried out from a stealth frigate deployed on the western seaboard by the force.
