  Legendary singer-composer Bappi Lahiri breathed his last on February 15. The 69-year-old died following multiple health issues at the CritiCare Hospital in Juhu. On February 23, his family organised a prayer meeting in his remembrance which was attended by several celebrities including the singer's wife, Chitrani Lahiri, son Bappa and daughter Reema. They were also joined by Om Puri’s son and wife, Shraddha Kapoor, Ila Arun among others.

  As the legendary singer-composer Bappi Lahiri passed away, several celebrities from the entertainment industry including Kajol, her mother Tanuja, Shaan, Abhijeet Bhattacharya, Chunky Panday, Lalit Pandit, lyricist Sameer Anjaab and Sophie Choudhary visited his Mumbai residence to pay their last respects.

  Bappi Lahiri had a musical lineage and both his parents were renowned singers. He started playing tabla at the age of 3 and moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in the film industry at the age of 19. His biggest support in Bollywood was Kishore Kumar.
