The resignation of AAP leader Ashok Tanwar, who is also Haryana AAP campaign chief, is a big jolt to the party's ambition to increase footprints in Delhi and Punjab's neighbouring state. Tanwar, who joined AAP after leaving Congress, may join the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Many leaders including former Congress minister Ram Gopal Bairwa and former MLA Ashok Tanwar join the Bharatiya Janata Party in Jaipur's Rajasthan. The 200-member Rajasthan Assembly will go to polls on November 25 and the counting of votes will be taken up on December 3.
Ashok Tanwar's decision to join the Aam Aadmi Party is seen as a big boost to the Arvind Kejriwal-led party in Haryana.
On October 3, a day after protesting outside Sonia Gandhi's residence over alleged irregularities in ticket distribution, Tanwar on Thursday resigned from all election committees of the party but said he would continue to work as an ordinary party worker.

The meeting was chaired by All-India Congress Committee’s Haryana in-charge Ghulam Nabi Azad to discuss the strategy for the Haryana assembly polls expected in October. But the proceedings soon spiralled out of control.
