Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had recently confirmed that the Xiaomi Mi 9 would be the most powerful smartphone from the company and now its confirmed the phone will come powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 processor. The company CEO was recently seen in chat video where he said that the phone would be the most powerful flagship device of the year.

The phone recently has been confirmed to launch on 20th February and chances are that the phone will first debut in China followed with other parts of the world. The company CEO also hinted to the fact that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 9 would be a very colourful device.

The phone was rendered recently, that showed the holographic colour variants of Blue and Purple, thanks to the nano-level laser engraving holographic technology and dual layer nano coating.

The Snapdragon 855 SoC on the Xiaomi Mi 9 will come with an X24 LTE modem, which suggests that the phone won't come with 5G connectivity, as Snapdragon X50 LTE modem get 5G connectivity.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 is expected to come with a 6.4-inch waterdrop-style notched display along with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The phone will come with a triple rear camera setup that includes a 48 Megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor, along with a 12 Megapixel secondary camera and a 3D ToF lens. On the front would be the 24-megapixel Sony IMX576 selfie camera. The phone will be debuting on 20th February and will be showcased in MWC 2019 as well.
