According to Counterpoint Market Monitor Service, OnePlus has managed to emerge as the best selling smartphone brand of 2018 in India. The Q4 Counterpoint's reports of 2018 suggest that the company has captured 36 per cent of the premium smartphone market taking up the first spot for the third quarter consecutively. Apple in the same quarter stood at 30 per cent in the same quarter and Samsung stood at 26 per cent in the same given quarter.

This came into being after a high demand of OnePlus 6T during Diwali festive season that kept up with the pace even after the festive season got over, thanks to a strong word of mouth and product feedback from the users. The company is also expanding into offline space along with experience stores that will help the company in reaching a more potential user base in coming quarters. In 2018, OnePlus 6 went on to become the highest selling model in the premium segment followed by OnePlus 6T that helped the company in widening its market gap which is now at 10 per cent.

With this OnePlus went on to troll Apple by taking it up on social media with a post saying "Hey Siri, which is India's No.1 Premium Smartphone?".

The OnePlus 6T price in India starts at Rs 37,999 for the 6GB RAM+128 GB version and Rs 41,999 for the 8GB RAM+128GB version, while the 8GB RAM+256GB version costs Rs 45,999. The company had also launched the OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition later that comes with 10GB RAM+256GB storage and is priced at Rs 50,999.
