With his undefeatable and rare in the continent left-arm chinaman bowling, young spinner Kuldeep Yadav has made a concrete place for himself in the Indian cricket team in a short period of time. Kuldeep was initially a fast bowler but on the perusal of his childhood coach in a cricket academy in Kanpur, he developed himself to become a left-arm wrist spinner, a rare breed of bowlers in India. The Uttar Pradesh-based spinner made his international debut on March 25, 2017, in a Test match against Australia in Dharamsala. Following an impressive Test outing, Kuldeep made his ODI debut on June 23, 2017, facing West Indies at Port of Spain. On the same tour of Caribbean islands, he managed to make his T20I debut on July 9, 2017 at Kingston. He, along with leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal, charmed the national team selectors with his mystical bowling and replaced experienced spinners Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja in the squads for the shorter format of cricket.
Kuldeep Yadav was adjudged the Player of the Match for his outstanding performance in India's opening match of the Asia Cup against UAE. It was his fifth POTM title in the shortest format of the game. With that, he surpassed the likes of Ravi Ashwin and others.

India and England played some exceptional cricket over the course of five Test matches. The series ended in 2-2 after India won the last Test by just six runs at the Oval. However, for the visitors, three players didn't get a single game to play on the entire tour. Here's a look at them:
The volume of runs Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar had been scoring, the spin all-rounders became irreplaceable in the Test side and India had to work their combination around the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, to get the best out of a slightly greenish wicket at the Oval.
India have preferred going with Washington Sundar as the option for the second spinner over Kuldeep Yadav due to his superior batting credentials. Meanwhile, former England pacer Steve Harmison has suggested the inclusion of Kuldeep for the fourth Test.
India's bowling resources have taken a hit ahead of the fourth Test with one pacer being ruled out, another being doubtful and an all-rounder being unavailable. With the series on the line, India need an improved performance in Manchester, but the combination will be a lot different from Lord's.
India will take on England in the third Test of the five-match series at Lord's, starting Thursday, July 10. India have the momentum after a magnificent win at Edgbaston and England have several questions surrounding a few of their non-performing players and the bowling attack, if it lacks zip.
India fielded a differently balanced unit in the second Test, compared to the Leeds clash and some of the selection calls baffled several former Indian cricketers. India went into the game without either Jasprit Bumrah or Kuldeep Yadav, two attacking bowlers.
India's assistant coach Ryan Ten Doeschate dropped a big hint regarding the side's probable combination for the second Test against England in Birmingham. India are set to undergo at least a couple of changes as they look to level the series at Edgbaston after a missed opportunity in Leeds.
Star India spinner Kuldeep Yadav recently came forward and revealed what advice former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen gave to him ahead of India's tour to England. Both Kuldeep and Pietersen worked together for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025.
India played with four seamers and one spinner as they faced England in the first Test of the five-match series in Leeds. Former wicketkeeper Farokh Engineer is left surprised by not seeing Kuldeep Yadav in the Playing XI.

Kuldeep Yadav dived on his shoulder later on in the innings and that might worry the fans a bit, however, the left-arm wrist spinner has been in a terrific run of form for the Delhi Capitals and brought out a new celebration on Wednesday, but something that was familiar to sports fans.
