Bogey venues: 5 stadiums where Team India haven't won a single Test
India have so far played 590 Test matches after playing for the first time in the longest format since 1932. In the last 93 years, the team has turned up at a lot of venues. However, India have not been able to register a single win in five stadiums where they've played at least 5 Tests.
1. Edgbaston, Birmingham -
India have played a total of eight Test matches at Edgbaston in Birmingham and lost seven of them. One Test match ended in a draw way back in 1986. India biggest defeat at the venue came in 2011 when they lost by an innings and 242 runs. They came closest to breaking the duck in 2018 under Virat Kohli's captaincy. However, chasing 194 runs to win, they lost the match by just 31 runs.

2. Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados -
India have played nine Test matches at Kensington Oval in Barbados and lost seven of them. They have managed to draw only two matches at the venue - in 1971 and 2011. Their heaviest defeat in Barbados came in 1976 when India lost by an innings and 97 runs. India came closest to winning a Test here in 1997 when they had to chase only 120 runs. However, India spectacularly collapsed and got skittled for just 81 runs.

3. Old Trafford, Manchester -
India have struggled even at the Old Trafford in Manchester. They haven't won a single Test in nine outings at the venue. Interestingly, Team India have managed to draw five Test matches while losing only four. Their biggest defeat here came in 1952 when they lost by an innings and 207 runs. The most memorable Test match for India was in 1990 when a 17-year-old wunderkind in Sachin Tendulkar helped the team salvage a draw with his maiden century in Test cricket.

4. National Stadium, Karachi -
It could be argued that India haven't played Test cricket in Pakistan since 2006. But even before that, they couldn't win a single Test match at the National Stadium in Karachi in six attempts. India have lost three Tests and drew as many at this venue. Their biggest loss here came in 1982 when they lost by an innings and 86 runs. In 2006, Irfan Pathan picked up a famous hattrick at this venue but India let the game slip away losing the game by a huge margin of 341 runs.

5. Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore -
Another venue in Pakistan where India have struggled in the longest format is the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. The surface at this venue has been extremely good for batting and India and Pakistan played a lot of high-scoring Test matches that ended in a draw. In seven Tests played in Lahore, India lost only two matches and drew five, but a win eluded them.
