Blast on train kills 16 in South West Pakistan

Over 30 suspected militants, allegedly involved in recent terror attacks, were killed yesterday during an encounter with Pakistani security forces in Balochistan's Kalat district. 

However, Baloch activists claimed the dead included innocent civilians. The claims could not be independently verified.

Kalat and Khuzdar are considered to be the most sensitive districts of Balochistan.

Militants in the area have been targeting government properties and security forces for over a decade fighting for an independent Balochistan.
