New Delhi: Alia-Arjun's magic continue in the third week itself and the new releases namely Kya Dilli Kya Lahore, Purani Jeans couldn't even take off well at box office.
‘2 States' is dominating the box office charts and is racing towards the elite club of Rs 100 cr. The flick has entered at the count of nineties and has raked in Rs 91.68 cr in sixteen days.
"#2States [Week 3] Fri 1.67 cr, Sat 2.70 cr. Grand total: Rs 91.68 cr nett. India biz. Heading towards Rs 100 cr mark. SUPER HIT", tweeted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh.
This week's releases Kya Dilli Kya Lahore and Purani Jeans had a dry start with just Rs 8 lakh and Rs 35 lakh on the opening day.
Kya Dilli Kya Lahore which stars Vijay Raaz and also directed by him, is favoured by the film critics and might do a better business with the positive word of mouth in the coming days, while the youth-centric Purani Jeans starring Tanuj Virwani, Aditya Seal and Izabelle Leite is given a backseat, so any expectation would be unwise.
This will, once again give a clear road to the Abhishek Varman directorial this week raising its chances of becoming the second flick to cross Rs 100 cr mark after Salman Khan's Jai Ho which has a lifetime collection of Rs 116 cr in India.
