Kalank title track release postponed by a day, tweets Karan Johar
Kalank’s title track voiced by Arijit Singh has been delayed by a day. Filmmaker Karan Johar, who is producing the film under his home production banner Dharma Production has announced the news on his Twitter handle. Announcing the delay, KJo revealed that the music team including Amitabh Bhattacharya, Arijit Singh and Pritam Chakraborty want to present the best version of the song, hence they postponed the launch by a day. He wrote, “We apologise from the bottom of our hearts! Will have to delay our #KalankTitleTrack by a day...all of us ! Pritam...Amitabh...Arijit and Abhishek want to present the best version of our favourite track in the film...song will be out Tomorrow! A big sorry again from team #kalank.”
The title song from Kalank was present in the teaser which was unveiled earlier this month. Few lines of the song itself backed by Arijit Singh created a sensation on the social media. In fact, most of the comments on the teaser were for the king of melody Arijit Singh.
The song was announced to be launched by Kalank team on Thursday. A song teaser was also dropped by Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and other actors. It features the onscreen couples Varun-Alia, Sonakshi-Aditya and Sanjay-Madhuri.
Kalank is helmed by Abhishek Varman. The film earlier supposed to have Sridevi in the role which Madhuri Dixit is playing. After her sudden demise, the Dil Toh Pagal Hai actress stepped in to fill in. The film also marks Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan’s fourth collaboration together.
Kalank is scheduled to release on April 17. Earlier it was scheduled to release on April 19, however due to Avengers: Endgame, the release was preponed to cash in on the extended week.
