Unnao rape case: Delhi Court frames fresh charges against expelled BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar
India | Aug 14, 2019, 08:04 PM ISTA Delhi court Wednesday said Kuldeep Singh Sengar, being a legislator, has to be tried as a public servant and framed fresh charges against him for allegedly raping a minor in Unnao in 2017. The charges framed under section 3 and 4 (sexual assault against a child and its punishment) of the POCSO Act on August 9, were modified to section 5 (c) and 6 (public servant committing penetrative sexual assault against a child and its punishment) of the Act.

Unnao Rape Survivor, her lawyer to be airlifted to AIIMS, Supreme Court orders
India | Aug 05, 2019, 02:32 PM ISTThe Supreme Court directed on Monday that the Unnao rape survivor, who suffered critical injuries when her car was hit by a truck last week, be airlifted from Lucknow and brought to New Delhi for better treatment at the AIIMS. Minutes before the direction, the apex court had deferred the hearing on transfer of the woman and her injured lawyer, for further hearing on Friday as no one on behalf of their families appeared and sought the transfer.

Unnao rape survivor develops pneumonia, condition remains critical

The doctor also said her condition remains critical, a week after the deadly road accident.
