Nobel Laureate Abhijit Banerjee feels that he wouldn't have won the nobel prize if he was living in India. The 58-year-old India-born American economist was speaking at a session at Jaipur Literature Festival when he was asked if he could have won the Nobel based in India.
A youth died on Wednesday after allegedly falling from a mall in posh area of the city with police suspecting it to be a suicide. The incident happened at Crystal Palm Mall located near 22 Godam area where the body of a youth (in 20's) was found lying in a pool of blood.
In a barbaric incident, a 30-year-old woman and her 21-month-old son were brutally murdered at Unique Tower residential apartment in Pratap Nagar, Jaipur. The CCTV footage shows the killer carrying the toddler and walking out of the apartment.

Cold wave conditions continued unabated in Rajasthan on Thursday with few places witnessing dense fog, a Meteorological Department official said. Banasthali was the coldest place in the state with a minimum temperature of 3.3 degrees Celsius, followed by 3.4 degrees Celsius in Fatehpur.

All four convicts in the Jaipur bomb blasts case have been sentenced to death, a state court pronounced the quantum of punishment on Friday. The four convicts who will be hanged to death are Sarvar Aazmi, Mohammad Saif, Saifur Rahman, and Salman.
A special court will on Friday pronounce the sentence against the four men convicted for the serial blasts that killed over 70 people in 2008. The special court on Thursday heard arguments on the quantum of punishment for the four men. Public prosecutor Srichand said the court will pronounce the sentence at 4 pm on Friday. The maximum punishment is a death sentence.
