Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated scientists and engineers after India successfully test fired a new version of the surface-to-surface supersonic cruise missile BrahMos having a range of around 400 km.
India on Wednesday successfully test-fired the extended range BrahMos supersonic missile which can hit targets at more than 400 kilometers range. The missile was launched around 10.30 am from a mobile launcher at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Balasore district.
Sukhoi-30MKI fighter aircraft, equipped with ' BrahMos supersonic cruise missile, was inducted at Thanjavur airbase. The missile can hit targets at around 300 kilometers with precision.
