With CES 2019 (Consumer Electronics Show) around the corner, Sony has announced that it will hold a press conference on 7th January, at 5 PM PST (6:30 IST January 8th) in Las Vegas, USA. This will be a pre-CES event and the company has not revealed any specific product details of the event.
Normally Sony showcases its flagship in MWC (Mobile World Congress) that takes place in Barcelona in Feb. Sony last year had introduced the Xperia XA2, XA2 Ultra, and Xperia L2, so we could expect the company to launch some new mid-range and entry-level phones this year too.
We can expect the company to unveil the Sony XA3, XA3 Ultra, Xperia L3 at the event and with 5G being the next big thing of 2019, we can expect more info on the company's 5G plans.
Reports suggest that all three phones could come with 18:9 aspect ratio display along with dual rear camera setup. All phones are said to be made using glass and aluminium body. Other than this, the phones are expected to come with Android 9.0 Pie out-of-the-box. With 7th January not too far, let's wait and watch what Sony offers next week at the press event.
