Fitbit launches its new Charge 3 fitness tracker in India. Keeping up with the trend of previous Fitbit trackers, the Charge 3 commands a premium price for its product, starting at Rs 13,990. Fitbit will be planning on launching the special edition of Charge 3 at Rs 15,999.
The tracker shares a similar design like the previous Fitbit fitness trackers, with an improved layout. It comes with a small touchscreen display that can adjust the ambient brightness on its own and has a 24/7 heart rate monitor that tracks calories burned and optimizes workouts. Charge 3 can also track sleep that provides details of the time spent in light, deep and REM sleep stages. The tracker also gives a personalized insight on how to improve the sleep, in case it's below the desired level.
The Fitbit Charge 3 gets a swim-proof design with a touchscreen display, 15+ goal-based exercise modes and promises up to 7 days of battery life. It comes with a premium, lightweight material that includes an aerospace grade aluminium case and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 OLED display, which is 40 per cent brighter and lighter than its predecessor. It gets an inductive button, which includes new patent-pending technology that provides a streamlined, swim-proof design with increased space to add more sensors in the device.
It also has SpO2 sensor, which is the first for a Fitbit tracker that allows a potential to estimate the changes in the blood oxygen levels and help track new health indicators, like sleep apnea.
It comes in black with a blue-grey and rose gold aluminium case that is priced at Rs 13,999. The Fitbit Charge 3 fitness tracker will be available across other major retailers offline like Reliance Digital, Croma and Helios. The classic band will cost Rs 2,990, Woven Band will cost Rs 3,490 and the Leather Band will cost Rs 4,490.
