With nokia 2, HMD Global has launched its most affordable smartphone till date. In its first India-exclusive launch in New Delhi, the hands-on session was held on a moving metro train. The launch of Nokia 2 will help the company to tap into the ultra-cheap smartphone segment of the market. The company has earlier launched Nokia 3, Nokia 5, Nokia 6 and Nokia 8. However, the arrival of Nokia 2 will boost the brand. Currently, the company is holding on fourth position in the feature phone market.
The newly launched Nokia 2 has several interesting features with the USP being 2-day battery life. With Android Nougat to 5-inch HD screen, its features will definitely make you grab one. Let's have a look:
Battery: If the phone is used for 5 hours a day, the battery will be active for two days, claims the company. It is 4100mAh battery that keeps the handset running.
Processor: The smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 212 along with a Adreno 304 GPU. Nokia 2 also comes with 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 8GB inbuilt storage.
Software: The dual sim smartphone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat and will also get Android Oreo upgrade in due time. Keeping interface closer to stock versions will be easy on the processor.
Display: The biggest feature of this phone is 5-inch HD screen with a contrast ratio of 13000:1. The display gets protection from Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Features: Nokia 2 will have Google Assistant and voice assistant along with LTE 4G support.
Camera: The budgest smartphone houses an 8-megapixel primary camera with LED flash and 5-megapixel front fixed focus camera.
Price: Though, the price of the handset has not been divulged, it has been priced at 99 euros at the global market which is over Rs 7000. As per sources, the phone may be priced somewhere between Rs 6000- Rs 6,500.
Nokia 2 will be coming in black, white and copper and will be available in markets from mid-November.
