Gmail for iPhone now gets swipe gesture

Google has announced a brand new mobile redesign for Gmail that now comes with many productivity improvements, which includes the swipe action as well. With this users can easily do actions like Trash, Archive, Snooze, Mark as read/unread and Move to.

This new feature will help users in getting things done quickly and comes with customisation options as well. iOS users will be able to access the swipe configuration setting by simply going to the Gmail app and navigating settings followed with swipe actions and choosing swipe options.

Similarly, users will be able to use the same action to triage the notification as well, for instance, if the user plans on snoozing emails, it can be done by firmly pressing the 3D Touch on Gmail notification and click 'Snooze' by picking the date and time when to snooze the email.

Moving on the redesigning also includes attachment quick view that allows switching between personal and work accounts, while the minimal use of colour helps you focus on content. It also comes with a red warning to alert you when something looks unusual.
