Apple has announced several new updates to its mobile and desktop software in the WWDC (annual Worldwide Developers Conference) 2018 keynote event. Some major announcements at the event are related to iOS 12, Siri, augmented reality (AR) etc. AR function allows two users to share virtual space to share information and play games and that too without compromising on data privacy. Siri will now use Shortcut Apps for information and will run a combination of commands like playing music, opening maps, etc. Apple iBooks have been revamped and renamed to Apple Books. Besides, Apple iPads gets Stocks app and Voice Memos. Also, Apple introduced Animoji and Memoji. Check out these tweets to know major announcements.

iOS 12 comes with new Siri Shortcuts app. Drag-and-drop app to build your own queries. For example, say “Travel plans” to open a screen with your hotel/flight/meal reservations (drawn from Kayak app). Hundreds of premade shortcuts available. #WWDC18— David Pogue (@Pogue) June 4, 2018
Interestingly, despite what's likely to be a big privacy message, Apple's new Siri features are contextual, predictive, and integrate with lots of third-party apps and smart devices. Translation: they're gonna gather and use a LOT more information about you. #WWDC18— Molly Wood (@mollywood) June 4, 2018
