Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus today launched its OnePlus 5T handset globally. The device can be purchased in 64GB and 128GB storage options at a price of Rs 32,999 and Rs 37,999, respectively.
The device will be available on Amazon.in and oneplusstore.in via "Early Access Sale" in India from November 21. The device will later be available at all sales channels, the company said in a statement last week.
The smartphone features an 18:9 aspect ratio display and Facial recognition features that could help the company to compete with Apple and Samsung.
OnePlus 5T launch event:
OnePlus 5T open sale will begin on November 28 in India along with the US and European markets.
At the launch event held in New York, company executives talked about how the OnePlus community influenced the user experience and UI design.
Brian Yoon, the head of user experience at the company, told audience about how the company decided to keep OxygenOS similar to stock Android for ease of use, battery life, lack of bloatware, and memory optimisation, among other aspects.
