From Warp Charge to Google Lens, OnePlus 6 to receive host of new features

The new version will also get Google Lens, improved camera with OxygenOS 5.1.9 update

OnePlus 6 to receive new updates

Chinese brand OnePlus 6 will most likely receive an improvement over its current dash charge that is already a hit in the market. The Chinese brand appears to be working on Warp Charge technology that will further reduce the charge time. We are also hearing that Apple is working on its charging cable and it will present an improvement this year, that will drastically reduce the charging time. Well, that's another story.

In a blog post on OnePlus Forum, company revealed that the latest version 6 will receive the OxygenOS 5.1.9 update, that brings Google Lens mode within its camera app. This update will also bring the July Android security patch and introduce it to the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T. OnePlus 6 has fulfilled the popular demand of double tap to lock phone. 

Another important update will be the integration of Google Lens into the camera app that will hugely improve the service. Pros - information of popular locations and public spaces via the Lens option. Users will also be able to create search tags. How cool is that!

OnePlus 6 specs

The dual-SIM (Nano) OnePlus 6 runs OxygenOS on top of Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box, and has a 6.28-inch full-HD+ (1080x2280 pixels) Full Optic AMOLED panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, with 6GB/ 8GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB/ 256GB of internal storage. There is a 3300mAh battery, with Dash Charge support.

Camera - The OnePlus 6 gets a dual rear camera setup with a primary 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 sensor, with f/1.7 aperture, and a 20-megapixel secondary Sony IMX376K sensor with dual-LED flash. On the front panel, it has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX371 sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
