England, Jun23: Serena Williams says she and her sister Venus “have no intention of stopping” their tennis careers any time soon.
Williams says Saturday at the All England Club that she enjoys competing, adding: “I love holding trophies.”
She's held four in singles at Wimbledon and a total of 13 at Grand Slam tournaments.
In her most recent match, though, Williams was upset May 29 by Virginie Razzano at the French Open, the American's only first-round loss in 47 Grand Slam appearances.
She says that “losing makes me even more motivated.”
In 2002, Williams was the last woman to win the French Open and Wimbledon in the same year. No. 1-ranked Maria Sharapova will try to match that, after winning her first title at Roland Garros two weeks ago.
