Prague: The Czech tennis team beat the Netherlands 3-2 in the first round matches of Davis Cup after Tomas Berdych beat De Bakker 3-0.
Thus the Czech team Sunday advanced to the quarterfinal against Japan, Xinhua reported.
Czech player Berdych beat De Bakker 6-1, 6-4, 6-3 and Rosol lost to Sijsling 3-6, 3-6 in Sunday's singles matches.
The quarterfinal match will be held in Japan April 4-6.
The Czech tennis team won Davis Cup in 2012 and they defended the title in 2013.
