Sydney: Former Panama international Yairo Yau and Sydney FC have agreed on a mutual termination of his one-year contract following complications from a leg injury.
Yau, who played nine matches for Panama and scored one goal, suffered the injury last year. It has prevented him from playing any A-League matches this season.
He has played 27 matches for Sydney since joining the team in July 2012, scoring six goals.
Australian media reported Wednesday that Yau's departure was expected to allow Sydney to sign Serbian midfielder Milos Dimitrijevic, who last played for Red Star Belgrade.
