The 19-year-old Goetze scored in the 67th minute—after Bastian Schweinsteiger's penalty in the 61st—when he rounded goalkeeper Julio Cesar before slotting the ball in from an angle.
Robinho pulled one back from the spot in the 71st, after Germany captain Philipp Lahm's poor challenge on Dani Alves.
Substitute Andre Schuerrle made the game safe in the 80th, when Schweinsteiger displayed great perseverance to win the ball from Andre Santos.
Neymar unleashed a fine effort from outside the penalty area for a late consolation for Brazil.
The game, played in front of a sellout crowd of almost 55,000 was televised in 190 countries. AP
