Bhubaneswar: A two-year-old infant Sonu was returned to his parents in Bhubaneswar on Sunday, two years after he went missing.
Digambar Kanar and Gurubari, both labourers, had gone to work in Bharatpur near Khandigiri, two years ago, leaving their son with their daughter Pooja, 7.
Pooja was walking with her brother Sonu on her way to a market on Oct 29, 2013, when the kid went missing. Sonu was ultimately traced from Banpur, 99 km from Bhubaneswar.
The local police brought the child from Bolori village near Banpur and handed him over to his parents.
Police said, the kid, who had strayed, was taken by a mentally unstable woman to Banpur, where she left the child and went away. The child was taken care of by a local villager Prafulla Nayak.
