Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh government is evacuating around 4 lakh people from coastal areas of the state before a severe cyclone “Helen” hits the eastern coast tomorrow followed by very heavy rainfall.
According to National Disaster Management Authority ‘Helen' will hit Andhra Pradesh coast between Sriharikota and Ongole, close to Kavali, around night tomorrow.
Under its influence, heavy to very heavy rainfall has been predicted for the next two days.
Fishermen are advised not to venture out into sea.
