An earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter Scale jolted Maharashtra in the wee hours of Tuesday. According to the National Centre for Seismology, the tremors were felt near Palghar at 02:50:43 (IST).
The exact epicentre of the earthquake could not be known.
There were no immediate reports of any loss of life or damage to property.
