BJP demands Sheila's resignation over corruption
New Delhi : Launching an attack on Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit over corruption during her regime, BJP's chief ministerial nominee Harsh Vardhan yesterday said she should take moral responsibility and resign. The Delhi government
Even the Lokayukta has written to President Pranab Mukherjee and his predecessor Pratibha Patil, requesting them to caution Dikshit against making false promises in future for the sake of getting political mileage, he added.
Vardhan said the government had promised supply of food grains to 72 lakh people under the Food Security Scheme. The CM should state where are the food grains, he added.
Crores of rupees have been looted in the DTC scam, Health scam, Education bungling, Jal Board bungling, Power Tariff scam, Water Leakage scam, Fast Running Meters of Power and Water scam, PDS scam, Ration Card scam, Vehicle Fitness scam, Pension scam, Unauthorised Colony Road Construction scam and in dozens of other scams, Harsh Vardhan said.
“In spite of this, the Chief Minister and her Cabinet colleagues have openly been saying that they have not committed any bungling. Isn't the Congress government misleading the people of Delhi?” he asked.
