New Delhi: As many as 90 candidates, who were put on a reserved list, have been declared qualified for Civil Services Examination, 2012 by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

998 candidates were declared qualified by the UPSC for the 2012 examination in order of merit for appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and other central services, as against 1,091 vacancies, results of which were declared in May last year.

The Commission, in accordance with Civil Services Examination Rules, was also maintaining a consolidated reserve list in order of merit below the last recommended candidate under the respective categories.

As sought by the Department of Personnel & Training, the UPSC has now recommended 90 candidates which include 67 General, 22 Other Backward Class (OBC) and one Scheduled Tribe (ST), to fill up the remaining posts based on the Civil Services Examination, 2012, a release issued today by the government said.
