At least five people died after their car fell into the canal near Pandavapura district of Mandya. A rescue operation was launched after the police received the information, Mandya Police said.
According to Nandish, Deputy Divisional Officer, "As per the information we got, they attended a program in Mysore. 5 people died and we'll do a post-mortem examination. We have informed their family members. They're all relatives as per our information. We have shifted bodies."
