Navjot Singh Sidhu ousted from The Kapil Sharma Show post comments on Pulwama Attack

Navjot Singh Sidhu's comment on Pulwama Attack didn't go down well with a section of social media users who started lambasting him for his remarks.

Navjot Singh Sidhu ousted from The Kapil Sharma Show 

After social media launched a severe attack on Navjot Singh Sidhu post his comments on Pulwama Attack, Sony TV asked him to leave the show. He will be replaced by Archana Puran Singh. As per reports, The Kapil Sharma Show team has already shot few episodes with her. For unversed, Archana even replaced Sidhu in 2017 after the latter had fallen ill.

A source told indianexpress.com that the channel didn't want to be dragged in the controversy, hence the decision was taken. ''His remarks have not been taken kindly by most. Also, the channel and the show was getting dragged into the unwanted controversy. This is when the team amicably decided that Navjot make a distance from the show,'' the source was quoted as saying.

Recently, during the media interaction in the wake of Pulwama attack, Navjot Singh Sidhu said that a nation cannot be held responsible for terrorism. “Nations cannot be held responsible for the dastardly acts of terrorists. The terrorists do not have deen, mazhab (sect and religion). There are good, the bad and the ugly. Every institution has them. Every nation has them. The ugly need to be punished. But individuals cannot be blamed for the dastardly act,'' he had said.

This didn't go down well with a section of social media users who started lambasting him for his remarks. The demand of Navjot Singh Sidhu's exit from The Kapil Sharma Show also started ruling the Twitter trends

Earlier, Sony TV ousted Anu Malik from the position of judge in Indian Idol 10 after his name surfaced in the MeToo campaign.
