Even in my 50’s, I never gave up on my dreams- Baba Ramdev on his TV show, Swami Ramdev: Ek Sangharsh

Baba Ramdev is all set to have a TV show based on his life and legacy. Bollywood actor Naman Jain will be featuring as young Swami Ramdev in Discovery Jeet’s new show, Swami Ramdev: Ek Sangharsh. The show will also mark Ajay Devgn’s debut in television. In an interview to India TV, Baba Ramdev shed some light on his struggles and hardships. The TV show will portray the life of Swami Ramdev in 85 episodes

Speaking about his upcoming biopic series, Swami Ramdev: Ek Sangharsh, he said, “I never thought even in my dreams that a TV show will be based on my life. The makers must have found something inspirational about my life that they decided to make a TV show based on me.”

Talking about his hardships and struggles he faced during his early days of career, he said, “I spent a majority of my life facing the hardships thrown at me. I have seen death closely for more than 7 times. But I never gave up. I was in my 50’s, but I never stopped struggling.”

Swami Ramdev spilt beans on the racial discrimination he and his family have faced. He said, "I have been through racial discrimination a lot. My mother has also dealt with a lot of problems for me. I remember once in Haridwar, I was mobbed by more than 50 people. It was the time when I thought I'm going to die. I only had my wooden slipper for my protection."

Swami Ramdev: Ek Sangharsh is a biopic series that chronicles the life of Swami Ramdev, who rose from anonymity to one of the greatest Yoga guru of India. Ajay Devgn while speaking about the show said, ““There are huge expectations from this biopic series and we wanted to ensure that somebody who fits the bill perfectly gets to play the role of Ramkishan as the audience will, for the first time, get to know about the early days of Swami Ramdev. Naman Jain is hugely talented for his age and has delivered a captivating performance.”
