Los Angeles: Singer Selena Gomez says she "lost sight" of herself while trying too hard to fit in, before she joined rehab.
She believes that since people constantly kept telling her how to behave and how to dress in the industry, it affected her, reports contactmusic.com.
The 21-year-old singer spent two weeks at Dawn at the Meadows treatment facility in Arizona in January.
"You all have pressure that you have to deal with every day - with school, with work, with friends, with parents, with family. They tell me what to wear, how to look, what I should say, how I should be.
"Until recently I had given into that pressure, I lost sight of who I was. I listened to opinions of people and I tried to change who I am because I thought others would accept me for it. And I realised I don't know how to be anything but myself," she said at a recent event
