Los Angeles: Singer Jessica Simpson has not invited her father, Joe, to her wedding with fiance, retired footballer Eric Johnson. She feels his presence will embarrass her on her D-day.
In 2012, Joe had confessed that he was gay. The news was followed by reports that he even had a relationship with gay escort Joey Anderson.
So, Jessica, 33, wants to avoid having him around when she walks down the aisle with Eric, reports showbizspy.com.
"Jessica's relationship with her father has deteriorated so much she doesn't want him at her wedding. She's afraid he'll make a spectacle of himself, or worse yet, start something with (her mother) Tina," said a source.
"Jessica still loves Joe, but she wants the day to be about her and Eric, not some sideshow with her dad. Joe was devastated. But his relationship with Jess is hanging by a thread, and he doesn't want to rock the boat any further. So he's not making a big deal about it," the source added.
