Bollywood veteran actress Sharmila Tagore is as much impressed with Sara Ali Khan’s debut film Kedarnath as the audience and critics. Even before the release of her grand daughter’s debut film, the actress was all praise for Sara’s confidence and with the way she carried herself. Now that the young diva is making headlines everywhere for her terrific performance, Sharmila Tagore is super proud.

Currently, Sara Ali Khan is busy promoting her upcoming flick Simmba alongside Ranveer Singh. In one of the recent interviews about the same, the actress opened up about her grandmother’s reaction after watching her debut film and said that her granny is extremely proud and is getting a lot of wishes and messages from the people around who all are watching the movie. However, what is most beautiful thing for her was when dadi messaged her mother (Amrita Singh) which was actually a big thing. She said it was amazing to see dadi messaging mom despite of all the sourness and things that happened in the past. Sara further said that it feels something if you bring audience together through your character onscreen and also bring your own family together even for a few seconds, that matters a lot.

Sharmila Tagore has always been warmth when it comes to Sara. In an interview earlier, she said, "But whether it was Koffee With Karan, Rajeev Masand, BBCher confidence, humility and charm made me so happy. It's so heartwarming to see her the way she has turned out. When asked what she's doing in films after going to Columbia University she said the education was for her growth as a person and not for career. She's never tongue-tied. And how well she stood up for her father on Karan Johar's show. I am really proud of her.”

The romantic drama, Kedarnath, which features Sushant Singh Rajput and debutante Sara Ali Khan, has maintained a steady pace at the box office. The film has crossed Rs 50 crore mark at the tenth day of its opening. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced the latest box office report, “#Kedarnath crosses ₹ 50 cr... Maintains a strong grip in Weekend 2, despite reduction in screens/shows + Hollywood biggie #Aquaman... Should comfortably sail past ₹ 60 cr on weekdays... [Week 2] Fri 2.50 cr, Sat 3.93 cr, Sun 5.33 cr. Total: ₹ 54.21 cr. India biz”.
