Actor Shilpa Shetty’s sister Shamita Shetty and her drived allegedly faced verbal abuse when they were roughed up in a road rage incident in Thane, Mumbai on Tuesday. The incident took place when a motorist accompanied by his two friends rammed his car into Shamita’s car. As per Times of India report, the actress and her driver Darshan Sawant filed a complaint at the Rabodi police station again the identified men. The driver was threatened and slapped by the men. He provided the police with their vehicle details.
A case has been registered under sections 279, 323, 504, 506, 427 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. However, no one was injured in the incident, which took place near the Viviana Mall.
On the work front, Shamita Shetty was last seen in Khatron Ke Khiladi season 9. The actress also featured in many reality shows including Bigg Boss and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. However, none of the reality shows proved to be fruitful for the actress.
