It has been speculated that filmmaker Rohit Shetty had a fallout with superstar Shah Rukh Khan after their collaboration Dilwale tanked at the box office. SRK and Shetty worked together in two films; Chennai Express and Dilwale. While the Deepika Padukone starrer did wonders in terms of business, the latter under performed. However, those are the things of past for currently Rohit Shetty is basking in the success of his last film Simmba. In a recent interview, the filmmaker cleared the air regarding a fallout with Shah Rukh Khan.
While talking to Zoom TV, Rohit Shetty said, “Not really. No, actually you know what happens is on a technical basis people don't realise, if you see the titles of Simmba, the colour, the DI (of the film) everything has happened at Red Chillies where Zero was also being worked, and that is Shah Rukh's company.”
Rohit Shetty wants to cast Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor in Andaz Apna Apna remake. Simmba star comments
“So, agar aisa kuch hoga (his alleged fight with SRK) then why would I work there. There's nothing like that. Nothing. It's just that we've not done a film together toh abhi yeh ho gaya ki jhagda ho gaya hai. That happens,” he added.
Dilwale marked the reunion of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol on silverscreen after My Name Is Khan. Despite having an ensemble star cast including Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Johnny Lever, the film tanked at the box office.
