Deepika Padukone is on cloud nine. The Bollywood diva has married the love of her life, Ranveer Singh and is enjoying till she begins work on her first production and next film, Chapaak that starts in February. In the Meghna Gulzar film, she plays the role of acid attack victim Laxmi Aggarwal who filed a PIL against the unlicensed sale of acid in stores. Today, she did a Facebook live where she took a lot of questions.
Talking about the year Deepika shares, "2018 was truly magical it started off with Padmaavat and my character being loved, a large part of the year I spent working on my self and enriching, nourishing myself and travelling just the things I haven't done in a really long time.
It was very different as I have been working since 16 and 17 and of course Marriage". On a lighter note, when she was asked when would she play a queen again after Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat, the actress quickly replied, "Right now I want to be the queen of Ranveer's heart".
She further added, "There were many milestones Time and CANNES happened, have learned a lot and Lots to give back. Been away from the sets for more than a year and really looking forward to it".

Deepika Padukone is getting ready for her next film Chhapaak based on true story of acid attack survival directed by Meghna Gulzar. Chhapaak will be co-produced by Deepika Padukone. The actress revealed that earlier she had planned to do a love-story after her marriage. But one day, director Meghna Gulzar entered into her office and narrated the story of Chhapaak and within 5 minutes of the narration, she knew that was her next film.
Talking about the venture, she said it is the journey of a human spirit and victory. And we hope the film will definitely garner praises from the audience. Chhapaak will be produced by Deepika herself and will feature Vikrant Massey in a key role. The actor has been seen in films like Dil Dhadakne Do, Lootera and The Death In The Gunj earlier.
The film will go on the floors in March and is expected to release by the end of this year.
