Katrina Kaif has been charming the cinephiles all around the world with her spectacular performances in her last film Zero. While the Anand L. Rai directorial failed to bring in numbers at the box office, the actress was much admired for her role as Babita in the film. Now that she has already wooed the audience with her acting abilities, Katrina Kaif is gearing up to take the next plunge in her career and become a producer. The actress is planning to start her own production house by the end of this year.
Katrina Kaif along with Salman Khan is busy promoting her upcoming Bollywood film, Bharat. While talking to an entertainment website, Katrina Kaif spilled the beans about her plans of opening up a production house and said, "Yes, it's true. I plan to start my production house sometime towards the end of this year." She added, "I really hope to put my name as a producer to one of the projects I've been in discussions with. So let's see." Katrina Kaif is not the first Bollywood actress to open a production house but stars like Anushka Sharma and Priyanka Chopra are already well-settled in with their publishing houses. Deepika Padukone have also started her own production house and will be producing her first film Chhapaak, directed by Meghna Gulzar.
On the related note, just when the trailer of Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan starrer Bharat hit the internet, netizens went crazy. While Salman Khan will be portraying various roles in the film, Katrina Kaif will be seen playing Kumud Raina. Talking about Katrina’s role, Salman Khan said, "Katrina has done a lot of hard work. She has done a brilliant job in the film. She will definitely win National Award for her performance."

When Katrina was quizzed about Salman's comment, she said, "I think everyone associated with the film always feels the love and passion for what you do because it has been a long journey. It has been a journey where we all tried to put our heart and soul into it. And I think Salman has seen every step of the way how hard we worked on this, me and Ali trying to create the character and get this character right for me and for the film."
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Bharat is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and will hit the screens on Eid, June 5.
